Role of Relaxing Lateral Incisions as an Add-On to Difficult Hiatal Repair in Redo and Giant Hernia Cases

Lateral diaphragmatic relaxing incisions may help reduce tension during difficult hiatal hernia repair. In this retrospective series, most patients had improved reflux symptoms, but long-term recurrence data are still needed.
